Coffee production began on the Rancho Grande farm in 1933, when Mr. Aneite Reis inherited 5 hectares of crops to start production.

It seems little if we are talking about Baragan’s rapeseed, but when we are talking about Brazilian coffee it is a generous and precious area. Today, the farm is run by José Carlos Reis and his son Flávio (Fafa) Reis, both sons and grandsons of Mr. Aneite.

The farmers are open to change, trying new techniques and have invested in several static drying boxes to help improve the quality and profile of the coffee they can produce. They have been working hard to improve the quality of their coffees for the specialty market and have worked on all aspects of the production of these lots, from growing, harvesting and post-harvest processing.

The drying boxes are called static because the coffee remains stationary and is not turned or rotated during drying. After drying, the coffee is left to rest for 1-2 weeks. This method has produced fruitier and more prominent profiles than the usual profile we associate with Brazilian coffee.

Old Aneite's descendants are not chasing their own tail, they are realistic coffee makers, passionate about innovation and the desire for progress
