Marespi is a family-run coffee farm in Costa Rica with more than three generations of experience. Founded in the 1960s by Rafael Marín and Silvia Espinoza, it has grown from a small family project into a respected exporter known for high-quality coffees.

Based in the Brunca region of Pérez Zeledón, Marespi works in an area known for its volcanic soil, steady rainfall, and high altitude, perfect conditions that help produce intense, complex coffees. Many local farmers have partnered with the family for decades, combining traditional farming knowledge with new techniques that enhance flavor while caring for the nature.

Sustainability is at the core of Marespi’s work. They focus on reducing chemicals, protecting ecosystems, and promoting biodiversity, while using a range of processing methods, washed, honey, natural, semi-washed, and controlled fermentation, to develop sweetness, balance, and acidity with lower water use.
